From $15 pub specials, to premium cuts at butchers’ prices, here are Sydney’s best meaty deals to be found for under $50.
Australians love their steaks. We consume an average of 25 kilograms of beef per person each year, placing us in the top 10 countries for beef consumption. But beef doesn’t come cheap — at Sydney pubs, steak specials have risen by up to $10 since 2022, and at an Australian Wagyu Association conference in April, analysts revealed Australian cattle prices are set to double by 2026.
But a bargain steak can still be found — if you know where to look. New steak specials are popping up all the time around Sydney’s pubs and restaurants to keep punters returning throughout the quieter winter months.
Here are 20 of the best-value steak night specials, from $15 to $50, to be found in Sydney right now.
